How do I get started?

What do I need to do before my first lesson?
Before coming in for your first lesson you will need to fill out a waiver which you can do online through this link: https://waiver.fr/p-vbGVZ
Do I need a partner?
No partner is necessary to do ballroom dancing, you can come with or without a partner!
When are you open to schedule lessons?
We are pretty flexible to be able to accommodate for different schedules but typically my hours are: M-TH 10AM-10PM, F & Sat 10AM-7PM, Sun Closed.
What are the benefits of dancing?
There are many benefits of learning how to dance! Dancing is not only beneficial to physical health but mental health as studies indicate it can help reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. It is also a great social activity and can help reduce stress!
Do I need dance shoes?
You do not need dance shoes, however we do suggest wearing something that will not slip off of your foot. If you're interested in purchasing dance shoes your instructor can help order a pair for you.
How long is a private lesson?
A private lesson is 45 minutes long.
What styles of dance do you teach?
We teach all four styles of ballroom & latin dancing which include:
Smooth: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz
Standard: Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep
Rhythm: ChaCha, Rumba, EC Swing, Bolero, and Mambo
Latin: ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, Pasodoble, and Jive
Other: Hustle, West Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Merengue, Bachata and Salsa
How should I dress for my lesson?
From athletic to dressy you can dress in whatever you feel comfortable in.
Where is Ballroom Avenue located?
The main location we teach out of is Emerald City Ballroom at 2809 Festival Ln Dublin, OH 43017. Occasionally we teach out of Dance Edge in Grandview 1156 Dublin Rd Suite #102 Columbus, OH.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Credit Cards, Zelle, Venmo, Checks and Cash. You can also prepay online in our shop!
When can we book our private lesson?
We are open to book lessons M-TH 10am-10pm, F&Sat 10am-8pm and Sun we are closed. We can be flexible with scheduling so if you're looking for a time outside of those hours please ask.
