Meet Corinne Smith of Ballroom Avenue
Ballroom Avenue LLC's mission is to provide high quality dance instruction in the Columbus Ohio area by designing customized programs & lessons that will help you achieve your goals.
Corinne's parents introduced her to dancing at the age of 8 and as a teenager her love of Ballroom dancing brought her to the competitive floor. With experience in all four styles she earned 3 National titles in Rhythm, Latin and 10-Dance on the competitive amateur circuit. After graduating from Dominican University in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Performance: Dance she began working as a professional Ballroom Dance teacher. She continued her dance training in Atlanta, GA with former world 10-Dance champions where she also had the privilege of sharing her passion for dancing with middle school students working for the non-profit organization JV Outreach. In 2016 an opportunity brought her to Columbus where she began competing in Professional American Smooth.
Currently Corinne is an active Advanced competitor in West Coast Swing while still devoting her teaching time to all four styles in Ballroom & Latin. She has extensive training with champions from all over the world including David Hamilton, Olga Foraponova, Melanie LaPatin, Karina Smirnoff and more. As a teacher for 13 years she believes you should never stop learning and It's never too late to start dancing!
