Meet Corinne Smith of Ballroom Avenue
Ballroom Avenue LLC's mission is to provide high quality Ballroom & Latin dance instruction in the Columbus Ohio area by designing customized programs & lessons that will help you achieve your goals.
Corinne's parents introduced her to dancing at the age of 8 and as a teenager her love of Ballroom dancing brought her to the competitive floor. With experience in all four styles she earned 3 titles in Rhythm, Latin and 10-Dance on the competitive amateur circuit. After graduating from Dominican University in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Performance: Dance she began working as a professional Ballroom Dance teacher. She continued her dance training in Atlanta, GA with former world 10-Dance champions where she also had the privilege of sharing her passion for dancing with middle school students working for the non-profit organization JV Outreach. In 2016 an opportunity brought her to Columbus where she began competing in Professional American Smooth.
Currently she is a Professional Smooth competitor but has students that compete in all 4 styles. She has extensive training with champions from all over the world including David Hamilton, Olga Foraponova, Melanie LaPatin, Karina Smirnoff and more. As a teacher for over 10 years she believes you should never stop learning and It's never too late to start dancing!
